about
New Era Risen is a non-partisan collective of activists, artists, and everyday youth that seek action through dialogue, not harassment, and change through mass unification and legislative targeting, not awareness. We are simply college students that dream of a world with less suffering, not political optimization. The only way to make modern-day activism effective is to seek unconventionality. We solely pursue truth and fact to then synthesize our content out of creativity and passion for these issues. We are humble in the idea that, as juveniles, we have much to learn, but are open to critique and advice that could allow us to make more progress. In a world of slicked hair, starched shirts, and an untrustworthy media, we wish to breathe humanity back into politics, by only prioritizing issues with the potential to alleviate adversity.
Our Campaign
In 2014, 480 people were found to have cancer in hoosick falls, out of a population of about 3,400 people, which was linked to chemical pollution in their water. Hoosick Falls lost business, and no one could move because they couldn’t sell their houses. Last year, 7. 2 million gallons of raw sewage was dumped into the Hudson river near Newburg, NY.
Clean drinking water is not a partisan issue, but a basic human right.
We plan use our petition, our creative skills, and our support to display the numbers we need as a coalition to get 1.5 billion dollars annually allotted towards water quality infrastructure in this years legislative budget, as well as more regulation on unregulated contaminants.
